Do you ever find yourself spending more time then you realize scrolling through Pinterest? Lately, I’ve been finding myself spending a lot of time looking at all of the perfectly decorated home offices.
And you know what? It’s making me really want a Pinterest inspired home office!
I’ve worked from home for a year now and its time – I’m finally ready to decorate my office space. My office is actually just a wall in our formal living room but the space is all mine.
I don’t know about you but, having a dedicated office space does wonders for my focus.
While I love working from my sofa and back porch, I also need a desk when its time for serious concentration. As great as the laptop lifestyle is, there are a lot of tasks that I can get done faster with a second monitor at my desk.
And then there is bookkeeping. I love FreshBooks and the Profit First method but I still need to sit at a desk and concentrate when its time for bookkeeping.
And while we are talking about desks, I’m obsessed with a campaign table I found on Amazon and I keep imagining different style home offices decorated around it.
Today I’m sharing a classic Pinterest inspired home office anchored by my favorite desk obsession. (If you are into classy glam home offices check out this one!)
How to Create a Classic Pinterest Inspired Home Office
I have always wanted to decorate a room around blue and white Chinoiserie lamps and vases. And I love the idea of this home office from Ballard Design.
I think a home office would be even better with a pop of color like this as part of the decor to brighten it up and bring in more energy.
As I mentioned above I am obsessed with this white Campaign Table and think it would be the perfect desk to build a classic Pinterest inspired home office around.
Next, you could add this JONATHAN Y JYL5014A Table Lamp, 16″ x 16″ x 28.5″, Blue/White with White Shade
And this affordable Crosley Furniture CF6101-GL Aimee Etagere Bookcase – Gold and Glass
And for that pop of color to bring an uplifting vibe into the room a rug like this Nourison PSN03 Passion Traditional Bright Colorful Area Rug, 5’3″ x 7’3″, Fuchsia would be fun.
Add a comfortable blue desk chair to anchor the room. I like this Porthos Home TFC021A BLU Duncan Office Chair with Adjustable Height, Fabric Upholstery, 360° Swivel, Armrests and Roller Caster Wheels, Blue
Keep your desk organized with this Kate and Laurel Industrious Desktop File Folder Organizer with 2 Pockets and 2 Drawers, White and Gold.
Add another pop of color with a simple hot pink flower arrangement on the bookshelf with GHomeFlower’s Luxury Dark Pink Peony Flower Arrangement.
And complete the look with a set of traditional blue botanical prints or this Giclee wall art Watercolor Indigo Blue Batik Botanical Print Set No. 1 from Belle Mer Graphics.
Conclusion
I’ve always loved Chinoiseries lamps and vases. When you work from home it’s important to surround yourself with things you love and that bring you inspiration.
And if your office is in an open area like mine is, choosing classic decor options like this one helps to blend your office into the rest of your home’s decor.
A Pinterest inspired home office with classic chinoiserie decor creates a professional space to work from. You can create a classic Pinterest inspired home office and add a pop of color like hot pink to brighten it up so the ides and energy keep flowing.
