Top 5 Must Have Kitchen Gadgets for Noom and other Diet Programs
1. Salad Spinner
Hear me out before you click away!
Yes, when you start Noom you are probably going to end up eating more salad then you do now.
Noom is going to teach you WHY you want to eat that dinner salad.
During Noom I discovered how to eat yummy ingredients – that I assumed would be off limits – without feelin guilty.
Its all about portions and using those foods as salad toppings.
One of my favorite salads from my time doing Noom is still my Make Your Own Chick Fil A Cobb.
When you drive though Chick Fil A on Thursday night for your kids, add an extra chicken finger the order.
- Chop up the chicken tender,
- add a sliced hard boiled egg*
- measure and add a serving of low fat shredded cheddar cheese,
- slice and add cucumbers and tomatoes
- and top with your favorite low calorie dressing.
*Short on time? You use already hardboiled eggs from the grocery store.
The TRICK is to chop, wash and spin dry your salad ahead of time.
I really like the Cuisinart Salad Spinner, Green and White – this salad spinner makes it easy to prep lettuce so you can eat salad easily. (Before you reach for something else you’ll regret the next day!)
2. Air Fryer
Tater Tots, Sweet Potato French Fries, Pork Tenderloin, homemade Chicken Nuggets … I could go on!
The kitchen gadget I learned to LOVE and rely on during Noom is our Air Fryer.
My husband bought us an Air Fryer during an Amazon Black Friday sale and I didn’t really make friends with it until I started Noom that spring.
Who would have guessed that tater tots are technically Noom friendly?
As a mom feeding a family while trying to also stick with a diet plan, anytime I can feed them food they like that works for me too is a win win!
Now, I’m not saying you should eat a portion of tater tots every night.
But the nights my husband makes burgers on the grill I fill the air fryer with tots or sweet potato tots for my family.
I eat half a burger on a bun or salad.
If I eat the burger on my salad I use a serving of air fryer tots as croutons. So good!

3. Measuring Cups and Spoons – Metal
Portions matter no matter what type of diet plan you are on.
I have an extra set of measuring cups and measuring spoons so it is easy to know and learn how much I’m eating.
Lets take rice for instance, I personally really like brown rice but white rice is Noom friendly too.
Do you know how much a half of cup of rice is by just eyeballing it? I didn’t.
The crazy thing is a half of cup of rice is actually more rice then I guessed when I scooped some into a bowl then measured it. I could have been eating more!
And I don’t know about you, but weighing chicken on a scale just isn’t going to happen for me.
But using a measuring cup to portion diced chicken, pork or beef then tracking the number calories in a cup of meat is totally doable.
Make sure to order an extra set of measuring spoons and cups so you can accurately track what you are eating.
Don’t sabotage your weight loss goals by skipping this important step!

4. Measuring Cups – Glass
A glass Measuring cups is the kitchen tool I use every day!
- Microwave water for tea in it.
- Use the measurements on the side to make your own quick salad dressing
- Pile up vegetables for a stir fry, omelet or even a salad and really know how much you are eating
- Store blueberries and strawberries in it the fridge
- When you have eaten them all in emotional fog you’ll know how much you started with and then blindly consumed.
- Use as a mixing bowel for small batches of pancake batter when you need an easy, last minute, dinner for your kids.

5. Instant Pot

The best part about an Instant Pot is that you can sear meat (or anything really) before setting it to cook.
I love to sear onions and peppers before making slow cooker fajita chicken.
But my favorite uses for my Instant Pot is Cuban Style Black Bean Soup and Ground Turkey Chili.
