The invite arrives and you pretend you don’t see it. All of your free time is focused on growing your business. You might not think you have the time but you should RSVP yes. You should go to the Pampered Chef party.
You don’t need anything new for your kitchen. This is the season of simplifying and minimalism. Your extra spending money is dedicated to growing your business.
I know how hard it is to set aside time and money for something not family or business related. This is an opportunity to enjoy and nurture and friendships. And it involve drinking wine and eating snacks.
Or maybe, like me, an excuse for a girl’s night in is a welcome opportunity. Conversation in a friend’s kitchen with a glass of wine is a happy place for me.
You are a good friend. This is a way to support someone else’s small business. You decided that you are going to attend and that means you are also going to be buying something.
Maybe you plan to buy just a couple small things. And maybe you are going to spend a lot because you are a really good friend and will end up needing something small to get to the bonus free gift.
I can help you. I went to the party and I bought some great kitchen gadgets. And it turns out I use three of them regularly. They even take up minimal storage space.
My Three Favorite Pampered Chef Items
Garlic Press. Yes, I know you can buy one anywhere. And I have. Garlic presses are my kitchen gadget weakness and they never live up to my expectations. Until now. This dishwasher safe garlic press cleans easily and stands up to a lot of use including my husband’s strong squeeze. It also comes with a cute little cleaning brush.
Easy Read Measuring Colander. This is the kitchen gadget I have dreamed of inventing. It is perfect for rinsing canned beans and canned veggies. I was a vegetarian for over 10 years and ate a lot of canned beans. And as a toddler mom I used a lot of canned veggies in the first year of solid foods. The shape of this strainer with its side handle is perfect. It also nests nicely with my regular strainers.
I still use this colander regularly. I make a lot of veggie chill with canned beans. And I love it for rinsing blueberries and grape tomatoes too.
Mix & Chop Meat Masher Yes, I bought it. And I’m glad I did. I had a secret frustration with cooking ground turkey. A spoon never seemed to break it up well. This tool, that can be used in non-stick pans, has solved my ground turkey frustration. It forced me to get past my excuse for avoiding ground turkey in favor of the more yummy yet less healthy ground beef.
I like to use the Mix & Chop when I make Skinnytaste’s Kalyn’s Stuffed Cabbage Casserole and ground turkey taco meat with TraderJoe’s taco seasoning.
Conclusion
Now go RSVP Yes to that Pampered Chef invitation – I give you permission. Enjoy getting out of your house for a casual evening. Enjoy the appetizers, wine and cooking with friends. And come home with some new kitchen gadgets.
